2. Term of employment
The contract period is from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2028 (or a part thereof, based on mutual agreement).

3. Renewal of contract
Your employment agreement may be renewed, but renewal is not planned unless new funding is secured. Renewal of the agreement will be determined by the following factors: budget status, progress of the assigned work, workload at the end of the term, performance, work attitude, and medical conditions. Renewal is limited to a maximum of one time, and the renewed term cannot be extended beyond March 31, 2029.

(Scope of Change) In principle, within the same department

6. Scope/Mission
Candidates are expected to engage in research related to the JST CREST (PRESTO fusion) project "Demonstration of non-invertible symmetry by analog quantum simulation". The successful candidate will conduct research in collaboration with Masahito Yamazaki (University of Tokyo), Tomoki Ozawa (Tohoku University), and Seiji Sugawa (University of Tokyo). While candidates may focus on either theory or experiment, a willingness to collaborate across theory and experiment is desirable.
(Scope of change) Reassignment, dual assignment, or secondment may be ordered.

7. Working hours
Discretionary work system for professional work applies and working hours will be deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes per day.

8. Days off and Leave
Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, and the year-end and New Year holidays (December 29 to January 3)
Annual Paid Leave, Special Leave, etc.

9. Wages, etc.
Annual salary system will be applied, monthly gross salary about 360,000 JPY (to be determined based on academic background, work experience, etc.)
Allowances: Commuting allowance (up to 55,000 per month if the payment conditions are satisfied)

10. Insurance
You will be enrolled in the insurance from the Mutual Aid Association of MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) and Employment Insurance by being provided for in the law.

11. Qualification requirements
The candidate must have a PhD at the beginning of the contract.
