Experimental General Physics (A6)

Research Areas:
laser physics; photon science; plasma physics; nuclear fusion; physics of living matter; out-of-equilibrium systems
Overview:
The research fields of Experimental General Physics (A6) spread into (i) photon science, (ii) plasma physics, and (iii) physics of non-equilibrium systems. In photon science, we work on material sciences using advanced photon sources, physics of laser-cooled degenerate quantum systems, and atomic, molecular, and optical (AMO) physics using intense ultrashort-pulse lasers. In plasma physics, we work on nonlinear and non-equilibrium plasmas for nuclear fusion. We also work on the physics of living matters and out-of-equilibrium systems.
