令和２年度学生表彰“東京大学総長賞および理学系研究科研究奨励賞”の候補者を募集いたします。
対象は当該年度修了者及び終了予定者である修士２年、博士３年です。
We are calling for candidate M2 and D3 students for “the University of Tokyo President’s Award” and “School of Science Encouragement Award” in respect of Student Commendation in AY2020.

*推薦教員作成書類（様式１,様式３）について：
様式１は専門以外の方にも伝わるような内容を、様式３は専門的・具体的な内容を基に、指導教員やそれに準ずる関係教員が、候補者についての補足となるような情報を記入してください。

①上記各様式１，２，３，４，６（あれば7）をすべてPDFファイルで作成する。 Prepare forms 1,2,3,4 and 6 (7 if you have) in PDF format.
② ５はExcelファイルのままで提出。 Prepare form 5 as an Excel file.
③ 上記①PDFファイル、②Excelファイルを、下記提出先URLにアップロードする。その後、物理教務宛てに提出した旨をEメールにてご連絡ください。

＜選考について/ Selection procedure＞
物理学専攻から、研究科奨励賞候補者として修士課程及び博士課程それぞれ若干名（昨年度は修士課程4名、博士課程5名）を選出し、各課程そのうちの1名を、総長賞候補者として理学系研究科に推薦します。
理学系研究科では、各専攻から推薦された候補者のうち、修士課程1名、博士課程1名を総長賞候補として選出します。

Several students from the Master’s and Doctoral courses are selected as the candidates of the Dept. of Physics for the School of Science Encouragement Award.  Last year four Master students and five Doctoral students were selected.  One of each course is then recommended to the Graduate School of Science as the candidate for  the President’s Award.  The Graduate School of Science selects one Master student and one Doctoral student among the recommended from all Departments as the candidates for the President’s Award.

専攻内の奨励賞・総長賞候補者選考にあたり、2月9日（火）にオンライン面接を行います。面接対象者には２月８日に連絡をいたします。
専攻の総長賞候補となった学生は、研究科内の総長賞候補者選考にあたって、2月17日（水）にオンライン面接を行います。

We will have an online interview with the candidate students for the Encouragement and President’s Awards on Tuesday, 9 February.  We will send the candidates an email on 8 February.  Another online interview will take place on Wednesday, 17 February if you are selected as the candidate of the Dept. of Physics for the President’s Award.

We hope to recommend the most promising candidate to win the University of Tokyo President’s Award from the Dept. of Physics.
