対象者/Eligibility
博士後期課程の学生（2020年10月1日以前の入進学者）で、2023年9月22日付修了予定者
Doctoral students who were enrolled before October 1, 2020 and are scheduled to complete their degree on September 22, 2023.
学位申請者≪課程博士≫の手引き/Submission guidelines for diploma applicants
5月24日に博士3年生にメールで配付しました。
The guideline will be sent to the third-year doctoral students by e-mail in late May.

・英文の様式は、同意承諾書のみです。論文関係の書類は該当する和文様式を使用してください。
Note:
-Only the "Letter of Consent and Acceptance" format is available in English. Use the Japanese version for other formats.
博士論文審査会 発表スケジュール/Dissertation defense committee schedule
審査会スケジュール/ Defense Schedule
審査期間（予定）：7月10日（月）～7月28日(金)
Defense period (TBF) : Mon, 10 July ~ Fri, 28 July, 2023
審査会スケジュール公開後に論文タイトルに変更が生じた場合は、7月31日(月)までに論文題目変更届を物理教務に提出してください。
If you have any changes in the title of your thesis after the schedule is announced, you must submit a title change form to PAAO by Mon, 31 July.
理学系研究科の論文提出期間/Submission period of dissertations to GSS
理学系HPを必ず見てください。
提出期間: 2023年7月6日（木）【厳守】
受付時間: 午前９：３０～１１：３０／午後１：３０～４：３０
受付場所: 理学部１号館東棟２階２７１号室（理学系研究科大学院担当）
理学系研究科大学院担当へ学位申請に行ったあと、208号室の物理教務にお立ち寄りください。
- 論文表紙及び全ての書類において、論文題目の記載を完全一致（半角全角、記号、スペース、下付き/上付き数字、和訳等含む）させてください。
- 期限までに論文を提出できない学生は9月に修了できません。その場合は審査委員会を解散する必要があるため、指導教員が物理教務へメールにてご連絡ください。

After you have visited the venue for degree application, please drop in to PAAO at Room 208.
- Please make sure that the title of your dissertation is spelled perfectly coincide (including single-byte/ double-byte characters, marks, spacing, superscripts/subscripts, and Japanese translation) on the cover and all other related documents.
- Students who failed to submit their dissertation by the deadline cannot complete in March. In that case, please make sure that the academic supervisor informs PAAO to disban the defense committee by e-mail.
学位記記載事項確認/Confirmation of the "Diploma Registration Certificate"
理学系研究科への論文提出時に確認していただきます。
You will be requested to check it when you submit your dissertation to the Graduate School Office.

７月の審査期間中に論文が合格に至らなかった方へ/To those whose thesis did not pass the defense in July
論文審査で合格に至らなかった場合、次の選択肢があります。
指導教員と相談のうえ８月上旬迄に検討し、必要な書類を物理教務に提出してください。
- 博士課程の在学期間を延長（1年間）し、論文審査を継続する。年度の途中に修了が可能。
授業料は原則半期ごとの納付になります。修了月までの月割の可能性がある人には物理教務から連絡します。
在学期間中に、満期退学や休学をすることは可能です。 - 単位取得満期退学し、論文審査を継続する。年度の途中に学位取得が可能。
- 学位申請を「撤回」し、単位取得満期退学をする。（審査は終了する。）退学後３年以内に学位申請が可能。
- 学位申請を「撤回」し、在学期間を延長する。（審査は終了する。） 在学期間中に再度学位申請が可能。
継続審査の期間は、原則として学位申請日から１年間です。
在学期間延長届、退学願には指導教員の承諾が必要です。博士課程の在学年限は５年間、休学は３年間迄です。4月に在学期間延長をした方は今回は手続き不要です。
学位申請の撤回には主査の承諾が必要です。撤回を届出ない限り審査期限まで審査は継続します。
年度の途中に修了を目指す場合、審査会で合格になってから学位取得までに専攻と研究科内の手続きがあり、ある程度の時間を要します。この手続きは主査が進めます。
To those whose thesis did not pass the defense in July,
Several options are available for the students whose thesis did not pass the defense. Please consult your academic supervisor by early August and submit appropriate documents to PAAO.
- Extend the enrollment period (for another year) and make your thesis as an ongoing case. It is possible to get a degree even in the middle of the semester.
The tuition has to be paid basically for each semester, twice a year. PAAO will inform you if monthly payment is applicable. Full term withdrawal or leave of absence can be taken during the enrollment period. - Choose full term withdrawal with credits and make your thesis as an ongoing case. It is possible to get a degree even in the middle of the semester.
- “Withdraw” your application for PhD degree and choose full term withdrawal with credits. (The defense will be closed.) Application for a degree can be made within three years after the withdrawal.
- “Withdraw” your application for PhD degree and extend your enrollment period. (The defense will be closed.) Application for a degree can be made during your enrollment period.
One year is given to ongoing screening, and it starts from the date of degree application.
Approval from your academic supervisor is essential for the Notice for Extension of Enrollment Period and the Request for Withdrawal. The maximum period for a doctoral student to stay in the program is five years and to take leave of absence is three years. Those who extended your enrollment status in April, no procedure is necessary this time.
Approval from the Chair of the defense is essential for the Request for Withdrawal from Degree Application. The defense committee will stay unless the Request is submitted.
In case you intend to complete in the middle of an academic year, it will take some time from the end of the defense until the PhD degree. The procedure will be conducted by the Chair.

We will announce as fixed.Those who are eligible must respond. Please respond to the email as soon as you receive it.
8月8日にメールでお送りしましたので回答をお願いします。
